The Blameshifters "Disenfranchised Anarchist" re-invokes that feeling I got when I was introduced to punk. You know that fist raising "FTW!" angst feeling. That feeling is like heroin always looking for that first high. It all started when my friend "Scrotums" gave me a few of the Fat Wreck Chords Comps. Then on went my affair with punk, with fist raised never once looking back. "Ahh once it hits your lips".

I am sure that the comparison between the Blameshifters and NOFX has probably become really annoying to The Blameshifters. Though they have a familiar voice the message they send is all their own. "Disenfranchised Anarchist" has 13 songs clocking in at 27 minutes of politically charged punk. The Blameshifters say what needs to be said and do what needs to be done with no bullshit attached. "Disenfranchised Anarchist" plays seamlessly. You could listen to the whole album in one sitting leaving your ears unscathed. It sort plays like "The Decline" (Ok that was my last NOFX reference, promise).

The Blameshifters have conquered the punk algo-rythym with intense build-ups, sudden hits and dramatic stops that any punk aficionado should know how to utilize effectively in a song. Needless to say the Blameshifters are well studied in the art and serious about their punk. "Disenfranchised Anarchist" has infectious bass grooves (Especially on "Sax + Violin", "Operator Error", and "Our Flag Rules"), haunting punk guitar riffs and political focused lyrics. What more could you ask for?
